The Grand-Auditorium shape is the natural evolution of the Concert and Auditorium models. Larger in both lower width and overall depth, the Rathbone No.3 Grand-Auditorium is designed to deliver an extra serving of power from every direction.
In keeping with the all-mahogany tonewoods, the Rathbone R3MCE is a classy-looking guitar with a warm and woody tone. It responds well to careful strumming and fingerwork delivering pleasing tones across the entire midrange. However, if you really 'dig in' you can unlock a whole other voice as the mahogany is brought to life.
The perfect all-rounder, the No.3 has the same scale length as the Orchestra Model but body dimensions closer to a classic dreadnought. The larger body cavity naturally produces greater bass tones, but without sacrificing clarity, and that's the beauty of the Grand-Auditorium. However, a larger body does not mean an unwieldy instrument. Far from it, in fact. The beautiful curves around the waist of the Rathbone No.3 ensure the guitar will sit comfortably on a knee or hang perfectly from your shoulders.
