Another remarkably good-looking instrument, the Rathbone R3SBCE combines Solid Spruce and highly figured Bocote wood. Similar in its nature to a maple guitar, this instrument is very powerful and offers the player superb projection, filling a room easily, whether strumming or fingerpicking.
The perfect all-rounder, the No.3 has the same scale length as the Orchestra Model but body dimensions closer to a classic dreadnought. The larger body cavity naturally produces greater bass tones, but without sacrificing clarity, and that's the beauty of the Grand-Auditorium. However, a larger body does not mean an unwieldy instrument. Far from it, in fact. The beautiful curves around the waist of the Rathbone No.3 ensure the guitar will sit comfortably on a knee or hang perfectly from your shoulders.

Loving it so far. Big sound and very comfortable to play.
I was looking for an acoustic guitar that I could use for guitar fills or licks druing sessions with friends. This is the guitar. It has a fascinating resonance. The low action and cut away is perfect for what I was looking for.
The best guitar I've ever bought.
Lovely guitar for the price I paid. I spent around 2hours in-store playing others and though I'd only heard of Rathbone a few weeks earlier it was, for me, the best of the lot. Sounds great, very easy to play throughout the neck, and lovely to look at. Could maybe do with a pick guard, but maybe this would affect the sound.

Guitar sounds great, has a nice low end, sparkling mid high and a surprising volume. Very good play-ability and intonation. Low action of the strings. Pick-up and electronics work great. A stunning guitar. Definitely recommended in this price range.

Good sounding and beautiful looking guitar
OK, I now own {R3SRCE, R3CECE, R3SKCE, R3SBCE}. So far I have only used them acoustically, but I love the different 'colours' of the sounds. (I'm stopping at the four however. )
Looks and sounds great. Comfortable size to hold and play for a small guy like me.

Beautiful instrument. Amazing quality for price
Really nice to play, lovely tone and so comfortable. This purchase was rather different to what I usually go for, I tend to prefer a small body and a darker top wood but this guitar impressed me so much I had to change from the norm. The grand auditorium shape is very comfortable and gives a beautiful rounded bass tone. The top is probably a bit too light a colour to my taste but contrasted to the lovely dark brown on the back and sides is phenomenal. And for the price it really is fantastic. I tried plenty of higher priced and similar priced guitars in store and this one out performed them all.
