A fingerstyle dream, the R3SRCE combines Solid Spruce on the top with Rosewood on the back and sides. This classic pairing delivers perhaps the most sought after tone in the guitar world: Lots of low end, lots of brilliant high-end with a little scoop in the middle. Rosewood also helps naturally create resonant and harmonic overtones which allow every note to be fully articulated.

The perfect all-rounder, the No.3 has the same scale length as the Orchestra Model but body dimensions closer to a classic dreadnought. The larger body cavity naturally produces greater bass tones, but without sacrificing clarity, and that's the beauty of the Grand-Auditorium. However, a larger body does not mean an unwieldy instrument. Far from it, in fact. The beautiful curves around the waist of the Rathbone No.3 ensure the guitar will sit comfortably on a knee or hang perfectly from your shoulders.

Most important: feels great! Sounds as i hoped from a sitka/rosewood: resonant, bright overtones, nice sustain... And really responsive. Construction seems lightweight and the instrument vibrate quite well. Also it looks simple and nice to me, finish are flawless. Super easy to play, thin neck, nice radius to my taste, confortable and natural feeling. Really happy for a 450€ guitar, i chose it rather than a gs mini rosewood and a MKelly forte. I think about getting the engelmann/bocotte :) ...all great however...Just one thing..after a couple of days...when looking closely the shiny gloss finish with light reflection...the bridge seems to slighlty slowly collapse in the top from string tension at the corner.. it has a really slight down in curve :( ..will see in future. now i will play it till it dies if it has to happen. Pity that distribution is pretty bad in France, i got the guitar from spain on reverb website, and i cannot get a 3-5 years shop warranty.

Well 9 months later I have bought a second one (I use various exotic tunings and half my practice time was being spent in changing the tuning)

I was looking for a guitar with easy fingering, that would allow me to advance with more complex pieces without forcing too much, that I could play even without plugging it in and had good sound projection. After trying five different guitars in the store without looking at their origin, brand or price, this was my blind pick. I am very happy and have been able to make a lot of progress with your acquisition.

Great! acoustically quiet, will try with lighter gauge strings (for bends). Neck is very solid. Great action and intonation straight from the shop. purchase in Spain

sounds great, not used to steelstring guitars (play electric mostly and previously nylon strings), so not very experienced with these.

Very pleased with it. This is my first guitar. I am very keen on learning but it is taking me a long time. Very pleased with the wokmanship of the guitar.
